Calling All 'Source Social' Members... I Need Your Help...!

Discussion News

Ahoy there!  Welcome to this week's instalment of 'Blog Post Monday'.

Now, I'm confused and I need your help.  With the end of the year fast approaching and with that, the start of a fresh new one, I'm wanting to make some changes to what my dedicated followers receive as 'Source Social' members, as well as the content that I'm creating for your eyes and ears...  With this in mind, I need your help and advice on what you would like to see from me.

So, as always, get that kettle on and get your thinking caps on, as we put our heads to together to come up with a new and improved 'Source Social' experience...

Well, I guess I have become a little discombobulated with my whole online presence of late.  Whether that's my Blog, my YouTube, my Instagram, my Facebook or my TikTok, I'm just a little confused and overwhelmed by it all.  But, most importantly, I have felt that my 'Source Social' membership is a bit messy and, again, a bit confusing...

I only have so many hours in a day so I'd like to know what you'd like to see more of and, conversely, what you'd like to see less of.  I guess my YouTube channel takes up the most time, what with the setting up and filming, and then all of the editing. This is why it has been neglected for a few months now...  I just don't have enough time...!

Is this something that you enjoyed and is it something you think I should continue with...?  Do you want me try a different style of filming...?  What would you like to see?  What would make you want to watch it...?

Then we have this here blog.  Another time consuming element.  Trying to think of something to write about every week, taking the time to research the chosen subject and then piecing it all together...  It takes a lot of time.

Is this something that you enjoy to read...?  Which posts do you enjoy the most...?  Is a weekly blog post overkill...?  Should it be monthly...?  What would you like to see...?

My Instagram and Facebook accounts have been stagnant for a while now, but I guess a lot of people are experiencing this.  Little ol' Source Vintage Antiques is being lost in a sea of bigger brands.  But, again, each post takes time to put out there.

Are there certain posts that you enjoy more than others...?  What would you like to see more of...?  More of my buying adventures perhaps...?  Maybe less products and more day-to-day stuff...?

My TikTok is where I have been experiencing most of my success of late and it's something that I have enjoyed doing.  Shorter, more concise videos, about interesting finds.  But, again, these take time to create.

Are these shorter more informative videos something you enjoy...?  Would you like to see more of them...?  Would you rather they were created in a different way...?  Or do you just not like videos...?

But, what about your 'Source Social' membership...?  What would you like to receive as a member...?  Would a community chat room be of interest...?  Something like 'Discord', for example...?  A space to connect and chat with me and other 'Source Social' members about antiques, perhaps...?

This is a chance for you to give me your views on any changes or improvements you'd like to see in regards to your 'Source Social' membership and your overall Source Vintage Antiques experience.  I would dearly love to hear from you!  So, please do let me know your comments and ideas by whatever means you wish.  You can pop them in the comments section below, send me an email or slip into my dm's on any of my social media platforms.

Anyway, that's it for this week folks!

I should let you know that there'll be no 'Blog Post Monday' next week as I'm heading down south for a week to visit family and friends, and to do some buying, of course...!

Remember, if you enjoy my posts, please show your support by subscribing to my 'Source Social' membership, which you can do via the 'Home' page.  It's free and gives you a weekly blog post directly to your inbox, as well as exclusive deals and discounts, and first dibs on new items before they are added to our website.

Cheerio!

    Hi Stephen!
Recently stumbled upon your YouTube channel and I love it plus I love reading the blogs as well. A discord could be an interesting idea as it could encourage younger people such as university students like myself to learn about antiques and such and it could be a good community idea overall.

    Hi Phsteve!

I’m v limited in the social media I engage with really. But have always enjoyed your YouTube vids. Also enjoy reading your blog here. Would it save time if your blog just directed people to a video from time to time? So just doing one or the other at times. Whatever you do, just keep it up. Probably won’t ever see you on hickory dickory dock or whatever as haven’t got the inclination to explore that!
