An Antique Late 19th To Early 20th Century Fortune Teller‘s Crystal Ball, With An Interesting Story…
This crystal ball was purchased privately from a family and the story they told me goes like this:
“This crystal ball was owned by my husband‘s late great aunt who fancied herself something of a clairvoyant. Family lore has it that when her house was cleared after her death my father-in-law threw her Ouija board on the bonfire and it screamed! Make of that what you will! This Crystal ball was found in her loft and we want rid of it.”
The Victorian era was a time of great interest in mysticism, spirituality, and the occult. This fascination emerged from a mix of scientific advancements, social changes, and religious uncertainties, which led many Victorians to explore the mysteries of life, death, and the supernatural.
