A Charming Rare Antique Scratch Built Folk Art Ship Made From What Appears To Be The Breast Bone Of A Bird. The Masts Are Made From Twigs. Made By A Fisherman In North Wales, Where It Was Found. Dates To The Early Part Of The 20th Century.
It Is In Need Of A Total Restoration As The Rigging Has Disintegrated Over The Years. Because Of The Shape Of The Ship’s Hull, It Will Not Stand Alone Unsupported And Thus Requires A Stand Or Base Support For Balance.
This Is A Curious Piece Which I Have Left In Its Original Untouched Condition, Including Many, Many Years Of Dust, Which I Will Throw In For Free!
Condition is time worn. The hull is structurally sound. The masts fit into holes within the hull. However, it does require some restoration as the rigging has disintegrated over time.
