A Rare Late 19th Century Handwritten Rebus Letter, A Type Of Pictogram Message Where Drawings Represent Syllables, Words, Or Parts Of Words, Which Were Popular In The 18th–19th Centuries As A Playful Form Of Correspondence.

This Particular Example Seems To Be A Love Letter. I’ve Strained My Brain For Far Too Long Trying To Decode It All So Now I Pass On The Challenge To Someone New.

This Really Is A Rare Survivor!

Condition is decent, commensurate with age and use. Clear legible imagery, some discolouration to paper and a repair to the back.
