A Rare And Fascinating Archaeologists Collector’s Or Worker’s Box With A Collection Of Pottery Fragments Found During A Dig In 1965 For The London Museum.

There are pottery fragments, some of which have handwritten codes to the back, there are loose handwritten tags and a card stating that the dig was for the London museum in 1965, and which trench the items were found.

The box dates from around the early 20th century and the pottery fragments could date from between the 16th to 18th centuries.

Tye box also has its front cover and original key, which is quite a rarity in itself!

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. No issues.
