This is a very intriguing piece… A painting with some serious age. It’s so dirty and obscured that it’s difficult to make out the subject matter at all. However, sometime in the 1970s, infrared scans were carried out that revealed some fascinating details, suggesting a religious scene and dating it to around 1533.
It is filled with mystery and intrigue. Could it perhaps be a long lost masterpiece…?
Condition is as shown. Dirty and obscured, age related crackling and two small holes. Structurally sound.
