A Beautiful Victorian Glass Lachrymatory Bottle Or Tear Catcher.
The story goes that Victorians would collect their tears of sorrow in a “tear catcher” and use them as a measure of grieving time. Once the tears cried into them had evaporated, the mourning period was over.
This one is in good condition, with some remnants of gilding remaining. Ready to be filled with your tears...of joy, I hope...! It doesn’t have its stopper though.
