A Fascinating Bundle of Antique 18th-19th Century Documents Detailing The History Of A House In The City Of York. Six Documents In Total Charting The History Of The Building, It’s Owners, Lease Holders, Builders, Renovators And Finally It’s First Mortgage. Dating From 1733 To 1879.

From Stable And Upper Chamber, to Hayloft And Dwelling House. The Building Is Located On The Southside Of St Andrewsgate, Near To Church Yard. The Street Still Exists Between The Shambles And The Minster.

Documents Are Full Of Names Of The Great And Good Of Georgian York. The Early Documents Have Red Wax Seals Intact (1733, 1765, 1768).
