A Rare Unusual Antique Scratch Built Folk Art Wind-Up Lark Lure. The Lure Would Be Placed On The Floor And Wound Up. The Glistening Reflectors Would Attract The Birds And A Net Dropped On Them To Trap Them.
In Good Working Order With Key. Rotates One Way And Then Self Turns To Go The Other Way. Still Retains Some Of It’s Colourful Reflectors, Which Catch The Light And Help Attract The Birds. It Has An Unusual Crest Naively Carved Into Each Side Of The Wooden Movement.
A True Piece Of Original Antique Country House Estate Made Folk Art. Rare To Be In Working Condition And To Retain Its Key. Simply Wonderful And A Favourite Recent Find!

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. In working condition and refusing it’s original key. It’s structurally sound but is missing some of its colourful reflectors. There is also a small hairline crack to one side of the wooden movement, but this doesn’t affect its appearance, structure or function. Please see photos.
