A Rare Collection Of Antique WW1 Framed Crash Debris From The 1st Zeppelin Shot Down On British Soil. The German Army Airship Schutte Lanz S.L.11 Was Brought Down In Cuffley On 3rd September 1916. Someone Has Obviously Collected Up Debris They Found At The Time And Framed It In A Delightful Period Frame As A Souvenir. There Are Further Handwritten Notes To The Back.
This Was Apparently Rescued From The Basement Of A Pub In The Local Area And Was Absolutely Filthy! It Has Cleaned Up Well Though.
A Wonderful Piece For A Collector. In Fact, Even As A Piece Of Folk Art, It Displays Beautifully.
Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound.
