A Curious Whitby Jet Or Cannel Coal Object With A Carved Face To The Front And A Mysterious Ritualistic Mark On The Back.
A real oddity and a bit creepy. I know that Whitby jet is known to have talismanic properties and that they used to place it in strategic points of graves to protect the dead in the afterlife… Or was it perhaps used in something more sinister, like witchcraft…?
Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound. Some areas of wear to be expected.
