A Fine Example Of An 18th Century Welsh Chip Carved Snuff Box.

The Geometric Border And Central Flower Motif To The Base Reflect Common Rural Folk Art Of The Period. Such Boxes Were Personal Items Used To Carry Powdered Tobacco (Snuff). It Has Wonderful Rich Age Related Wear And Patina, Suggesting It Was Well Used And Likely Treasured.

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound and functions well.
