A Fantastic Fun Naïve Antique Folk Art Maritime Oil On Canvas Portrait Painting Of A Fisherman Smoking A Pipe And Holding A Glass Of Rum. Signed + Dated 1897. There Is More Text, Possibly The Name Of The Subject, But It’s Difficult To Make Out. Housed In A Stunning Gilt Frame Decorated With Foliage.
Condition is good, commensurate with age. No tears. A couple of minor chips to the edge of the frame. Would benefit from a clean to bring out the colours.
