A Fabulous Early 20th Century Hand Painted Plaster Anatomical Model Of The Human Heart By Adam Rouilly. It Has Four Sections Which Open Up To Reveal The Inner Workings And Is Mounted On A Telescopic Stand. Dates To Around The 1930’s.
These Models Were Essential Teaching Tools In Medical Schools, Helping Students Learn About Heart Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology. They Provided A Hands-On Way To Study Structures That Could Otherwise Only Be Seen In Corpses.
Physicians And Surgeons Also Used Heart Models To Visualise Complex Cardiovascular Structures Before Performing Procedures, Especially As Heart Surgery Was Beginning To Advance.
Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Some areas of wear and chips. Also, I don’t know if some of the little compartment locks are missing, but there’s no sign there were any. Overall, it’s rather good for its age and it displays magnificently.
Measures 38cm x 18cm x 16cm
