An Unusual Antique Folk Art Make-Do Heavy Stone & Cast Iron Door Stop. Some Time During The 1800s, Someone Was In Need Of A Door Stop And Got Creative With What They Had To Hand. So, They Took A Heavy Stone, Which Feels Similar To Limestone, And An Old Cast Iron Handle, And Pieced The Two Pieces Together.

Quite Simply, A Superb, One Of A Kind And Useable Piece Of Folk Art. A Beautiful Natural Decorative Piece For The Home Too!

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Stone is quite heavy and the handle is attached by one large screw, so I wouldn’t go swinging it around by the handle!

Measures 16cm wide - 9.5cm high (not including handle) OR with handle approx 21cm.
