A Wonderful Rare Antique 19th Century Novelty Snuff Box In The Form Of A Gent’s Boot, Complete With A Heel And Foot.

The Style Of The Boot With Pointed Toe, Small Heel, Resembles Men’s Footwear From The Mid-1800s. The Flap At The Top (Near Where The Knee Would Be) Is The Lid, Which Flips Open To Reveal The Compartment For Snuff (Powdered Tobacco).

The Novelty Boot Shape Fits With The Victorian Love For Humorous Or Curious Objects Which Were Popular As Conversation-Piece Items.

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound and functions well. Some areas of age related wear as shown and the lid does close quite tightly.
