A very charming and very rare antique child’s toy sabre dating to around 1870. Beautifully ornate handle.

A truly lovely item with incredible detail considering it was made as a toy for a child. I like to believe that a Infantry Officer had it made for his child as a birthday present. And it very likely was.

Obviously, as it was meant for a child, whilst the blade is steel, it doesn’t have a bladed edge. So it’s perfectly safe.
