After last week's post (my mini tour of the Red House Antique's Centre) I have been asked by a few of you if there are many other places to find antiques and vintage in the city of York, and whether it is a good place to come for a day or weekend of treasure hunting.

But without doubt, you'll have seen it on TV and you'll recognise the owner. This little, or rather, large, antiques centre is my secret local supplier. It never lets me down. Well, well, well...! York Race Course Car Boot Sale returned to action on Saturday 8th August, for the first time this year after a very long lockdown. If you are into antiques, curios, collectibles or just like a bargain, then this boot sale is an absolute must. I'm going to stick my neck out here and say it's one of the best in the UK, if not, THE best!
